FAQs
What are the advantages of LEDs?
The main advantages of LEDs are their efficiency, long life cycle and minimum maintenance. Further LEDs are compact in size, robust in construction and as they contain no toxics, are easy to dispose.
What is the operational life of the inbuilt LEDs
LEDs are designed for a working life of more than 50000 hours. With an average operation of 4000 hours per year, LEDs need to be replaced after approximately 12 years. Conventional lamps like sodium vapor need replacement after 4 to 8 years. Factors like thermal management, location of installation (outside temperature) and average input power play an important role in the operational life of LEDs.
Can luminaires be custom made?
LUXSOLI offers customer specific lighting solution as an option to the standard products. In co-operation with our partner companies „Franke Mast Service“ and „Atelier Sonnenseite“, there is no limitation to develop customized lighting solution based on design and functionality.
How does a solar luminaire function?
The solar luminaire is independent from the grid power. The required energy is drawn from the battery pack which is charged with solar power during the day through the photovoltaic panels.
Is it possible to install the solar luminaire in the shadow (eg. under the trees) ?
If the shadowing is high, especially during the winter months with longer nights, the solar energy supply is minimum or nil.
Do the solar modules need cleaning ? If yes, how often?
In Central Europe with its regular strong rain, cleaning of the solar module is not required. In Southern countries with a high dust exposure, regular cleaning is necessary in order to get a reliable illumination.
Can solar luminaires be installed anywhere?
In Southern countries, solar luminaires can be used without restriction. In Central Europe and other countries with moderate climate, solar luminaires can be installed under specific conditions for a reliable operation throughout the year.
How long is the solar luminaire operation in no-sun condition during or bad weather?
A general answer to this question is not possible as many factors like geographical location, luminance requirement and solar radiation intervene. You are welcome to contact us and we shall give you an individual answer.
